Happy New Years!

Happy New Years Eve! We wish you all the best in 2007! Ryan and Heather, we are sorry we couldn't make it to Michigan this year for your New Years Eve Party, but we can't wait to see the pictures! We miss you....The Malones and us are going to party here in Columbia and we are thinking of you! Have a fun and safe night....look for pictures tomorrow! Happy 2007!

Frosty has been stolen...

So...Mike and I were enjoying our Sat. night and getting ready to watch Sat. Night Live when we hear a pickup moving back and forth in front of our house. We look outside and its lights are out, we switch on the outside light and then they turn on their headlights. They move to the side of our house where we can't see unless we look out the garage window, which Mike goes out to look. He calls the police non emerg. number and is talking to them when all of a sudden he sees Frosty "floating" through the air. They throw Frosty in the back of the pickup and take off down the street. All I can see when I looked outside is Frosty in the back of the pickup driving away....I am so mad! I hate that they were sitting out their watching our house and Frosty. Mike was talking to the police operator when they took off and Mike got in the car a couple of minutes later and tried to follow them, but couldn't find them or Frosty. :( Frosty will be missed.....

We're finally home...

WOW! We are finally home. It feels like it has been forever since we've been here. Jack was so happy to see us today when we got to my parent's house. Thanks Mom for watching him! We have had a busy Christmas break. Vegas was fantastic....what a great anniversary trip for us. We had Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my parents house and had so much fun. Christmas Eve was about 75 family members there and it was a blast! Christmas morning was relaxing and it was nice to be there with no real responsibilities. We got a lot of great gifts and got to spend a lot of time just hanging out and talking. We left Tues. morning to go to Indianapolis to Dan and Amanda's house to have the Laughlin Christmas. It was so fun to see them and the girls. They are getting SO big! We opened gifts and it was so cute to see their faces when they were opening them. Thanks Amanda for having us all up there! Thursday was our 4 year anniversary (thanks ryan and heather for noting us on your blog!) and thanks to our parents and siblings for our well wishes! We got back this afternoon and we are tired. Jack is tired from being spoiled by his "grandma" and has been sleeping on and off from 2 pm till now (8:30) and we still haven't unloaded the van with all our goodies and bags and clothes. so...I better sign off to get that started! Here are a few pictures from the last couple of days below and if you click on my shutterfly album on the right...you can see the rest!

Christmas Party Pictures

This is from our holiday party at school today! I have the best class ever! I hope you have a relaxing break, spend time with the ones you love, and enjoy the "real reason for season!" Enjoy! We are off to Vegas....wish us luck! :)

Last Day

Today is our last day before winter break....this is what teaching is all about! ha! The kids are ready for break, their are a TON of presents on my desk, and I can't wait until our class party! They get so excited and they really do have a great time. We have our school sing-a-long this afternoon and then the parents in my room do a FANTASTIC job planning for the party. They have games, food, crafts...its a blast! I love that I can just sit back and relax and take pictures...so be sure to check back when I post them later. Mike and I are going to have a busy Christmas break, but we will get to see a TON of family! I am so excited!!!! We leave tomorrow for Vegas so we have to get all ready for that tonight and make sure Jack's things are ready because Dave is going to take care of him while we are gone. So...thanks Dave for watching him! We get back to St. Louis on Christmas Eve and we will be at my parents house where all of her 10 brothers and sister and my cousins will be....its chaos, but totally worth it! Then we will be with my sister and her husband and my grandma, parents and brother on Christmas Day opening presents, lounging around, and will hopefully go see a movie! Mike's parents are then going to pick us up on Tues. (Dave is bringing Jack to my parent's house on Christmas Day night) so my parents can watch him while we leave Tues. with the Laughlin side to go to Indianapolis to have Christmas there with Mike's older brother and his wife and our nieces...they are so cute! I am really excited to see them! Anyway....it will be BUSY....but FUN!!!!! Have a Merry Christmas and check back later for some pics! ;)

Cookie Exchange

A cookie exchange....what a great idea to get friends together before the holidays actually start. What you do is have each person make a batch or two of cookies (or store bought works too...right, Michelle!), get together and catch up with some food and drinks, and then make a box or two to take home and eat, or give them as a gift to someone. We had a blast and with the holidays right around the corner, it was fun to see friends, catch up, and actually RELAX! Thanks Rachel for hosting this, I can't wait to have another one! Enjoy the pics!

Jack...

Jack LOVES playing, and since we now have a big pile of mud in our backyard, he decided that he now loves running through it. You can kindof tell how muddy his paws are in the picture, but our kitchen was a lot worse. Anyway, he was a total spazz today because we haven't exercised him a lot because of everything thats been going on with the house....so we walked him tonight and it was rough! Mike had to run with him for awhile to get him to actually calm down and W.A.L.K. He thought it was the best thing in the world to finally be outside with us and eventually he started to walk like a normal dog. Hopefully the backyard will dry out and not be as wet as it is. Just last week we had 16 in. of snow and now it is 55* and sunny....Gotta love Missouri weather! Enjoy the pics! Our backyard filled with snow 1 week ago, and Frosty today....(keep those fingers crossed for a white Christmas!)

I hope you have enjoyed your week long honeymoon in Hawaii! We miss you!

Christmas Break...it's almost here!

Merry CHRISTmas and Happy New Year! Only 2 more days before break. Then we are off to Vegas to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary! Enjoy the holidays!

1st blog

Well...after my friend, Heather, said that I needed to get a blog, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and get one. I am not sure how often or when I will post, but I want to make Heather happy. It's the least I can do since we are not moving up to Michigan anytime soon. Sorry Heather! :) So...this is it....our very first blog! woo-hoo! Enjoy! Love, Kasey and Mike
