the good, the bad, and the ugly...

let's just say it wasn't the best weekend...E is still sick. This is how we spent most of Saturday and Sunday...camped out watching The Bee Movie, Ratatouille, Sesame Street, and Super Why. Poor guy. Hopefully he will start feeling like himself soon...we finally got him to eat a little last night and drink a little. Today he did eat some bites of a banana and some blueberries...thankfully no throwing up. Yesterday he took 3 naps...for a total of 5 hours of sleep...then went and slept from 6:30 pm till 7:30 this morning...

We had his 18 month appointment scheduled for today, so it was nice to go in and see what was really going on with him. Turns out it is just a stomach virus, but he's hydrated, so that's the good news. He is weighing in at 23 pounds (15th %), he is 34" tall (90th %), and his head circumference is 48.5 cm (75th %). Hopefully in the next few days we'll have our happy, healthy boy back.

Our sleepy boy after the appointment today...
The good: Our Christmas gift to each other arrived today...a 32" lcd, hdtv! I'm excited...our tv is starting to go out and we got a great deal on this.

The bad: Evan is still sick :( and our niece, Mallory, still has pneumonia, which has gotten worse. Hopefully she and Evan will be better soon. Mal has been sick for so long...poor girl!

The ugly: This could go under good news I guess, but it was nasty! I got my PICC line out today!!!! I've been off my zofran pump and fluids for a week and was given the all clear to have it taken out. My home care nurse, Teri, came today and we called my doctor who said yep..it can come out. :) The ugly part is when she pulled it out, puss had formed on the line which was inside of my body! yuck! She said this definitely needed to be taken out anyway...It was disgusting, but thankfully is out and hopefully that means, the rash/bumps that started coming back will now go away.

Happy Monday everyone!
