Names...names...and names!

Ugh! Picking your child's name is HARD! Mike and I have had a few that we like, but after a period of time realize that we don't like it as much as we thought. I'd like to hear how some of you picked your child's name. Is is a family name? One you just liked? Or a name that came to you after the baby was born? For now...Mike and I are back to the baby name books! :)

Can we share lists? Haha. We have a HARD last name. We had the perfect girl name. I think we might just name him that. :) Do you know about nameberry.com ? They have some good lists.

Family name for us. Dustin's middle name is Thomas. The middle name came from a grandfather.

Thomas Orland Moyer (T.O.M), his initials spell out Tom, we didn't mean for that to happen. Someone actually pointed that out to us

Both of the boys' names were names we just liked. I heard Porter's name in a scrapbook magazine (Becky Higgins has a son named Porter) and I think I saw Hudson's name on a highway sign (we live near a town called Hudson).

Porter's middle name is just something we liked that went well with his name. I also liked the meaning (God is gracious).

Hudson's middle name- I had wanted something with a little more meaning, but couldn't find anything I loved. We didn't decide on his middle name until he was a day old. Our choices were Oliver or Riley, and he just seemed like a Hudson Riley. We had originally liked Riley (Rylee) for a girl a loooong time ago-- Ry for Ryan and Lee is my middle name. So, it kind of symbolizes our names but not really.
