TFT? Summer Plans...

  • With summer coming up I am getting more and more excited. I love being able to do what I want, when I want to. I love traveling, going to visit friends, sitting by the pool reading, walking in parks, going to the library, etc. I often still wish I was in St. Louis because I loved taking advantage of all of their free things to do...the zoo, Museums, Science Center, the Landing, Magic House, etc. Living here 2 hours away, yes I could still do all of those things, but now it has to be much more thought out and planned. When summer arrives, I often find myself trying to save more money and do things that I normally wouldn't do. I try to get more creative and play.

  • I want to hear from you....What your favorite things to do in summer?
  • What do you like to do? Is it by yourself, family, significant other?
  • Do you like to splurge on activities or crafts?
  • Do you like to keep it simple?
  • Do you go on vacation to the same place each year? A different place? No vacations?

  • I want to hear it....let's start getting ready for summer! woohoo!

We like to go camping, fishing, hiking and things like that. With just my husband and I, with friends and with family. We go on at least 1 BIG vacation every year which seems to be Mexico (the same place where we went on our honeymoon) although this year we aren't going to Mexico but going to Greece instead. FUN FUN, I can't wait.

Although, it looks like we are going to be doing a LOT of camping this year!!! If you are wondering why. Check out my TFT post. LOL

i love to fish and camp - by far my two favorite things to be doing in the summer. i like being with friends and family - who all share the same activities! we also like to have bbq nights, bonfires, and game nights with friends. i can't wait for things to warm up around here so we can start doing some of this stuff!

I am a teacher also, but unless I teach summer school, I have no income in the summer. I try to go boating and hang out at the in-laws pool. I read and scrap a lot and spend all nice days outdoors :)

Well, I love the summer as well, and the fact that I have it off with my son is great....I opt. for the 12 month pay at my school, so I get paid over the summer for satying home...woo-hoo!

1) Spend time at the in-laws pool, they live about 30 sec. from us...so it's convenient!
2) Go up-north to the cabin(s)...."camping" for our family if you will, but a little nicer...LOL! Canoes, fishing, looking for frogs in the river, we love it!
3) We have 2 annual trips...The McGowan family reunion (Don's Mom) usually someplace really nice by water and outdoor activities. And my annual family vacation in the U.P. of Michigan (Curtis) on a great lake up there.
4) Of course, grilling-out with friends or just on the weekdays for our family :)

*We'll see how this summer goes with a newborn & sleep deprivation...LOL!*

We like to go to Maine. My sister's in-laws have a house on a like - its so much fun.

I also just like to go to the beach with my family and sit on my front porch at night.

I like to swim, hit a few baseball games, camp once in awhile, firepits, and now that my daughter is more mobile the parks are so fun. We don't do a vacation right now, unless its a weekend getaway.

When I'm not the size of a house, I enjoy camping. This summer we are going to "camp" in a cabin in TN. I love the zoo, Grant's Farm, and the zoo too. The boys get so excited when we go there.

We don't generally go anywhere, we just hang out at home enjoying the weather. Go on tons of walks, go to the lake or cabin. If it's nasty out, we'll head to the children's museum, but otherwise, it's pretty relaxed. I can't wait for summer!
