Operation Christmas Child

I know I still want to blog about our 10 year anniversary trip, but I think this is WAY more important!!!

Operation Christmas Child

The National Drop off is now until November 19th. There are a ton of drop off locations.
All you need to do is grab a shoebox or small container and fill it with some toys, personal products, school supplies, candy, etc. You can choose if you want it for a boy or a girl and also the age range.

The website even tells you how to package it and how to print the label on it in case you want to track where it is going.

Mike and I took the boys shopping yesterday. We told Evan that we were buying gifts for a few boys (5 to be exact) that were the same ages as him and Alex. That we wanted to make sure these boys got Christmas gifts and we were shopping for them. Evan (besides a small meltdown at the beginning looking for toys...just being honest! He wanted one for him...which we said that we were shopping for boys that didn't have any toys and today wasn't a shopping trip to Evan or Alex or Mommy/Daddy) After the incident, he did such a GREAT job picking toys. He said this and went up and down the aisles searching for just the right gift. After I went to get some socks/toothpaste/toothbrush/underwear...he said, "I think he needs more toys!" ;)

I think we all had an overwhelming sense of joy, giving, and hope for these boys that will receive these boxes.

I am so glad we are giving back...to show the importance of giving back to our boys.
To share and help others and love.

We also included a picture of us and our address and a short note wishing each boy a Merry Christmas and to let them know that we are praying for them...

All 5 ready to go! :)

All ready to go!!
