Feb. 1 random thoughts

Can you believe that Feb. 1st is already here?! I have a lot of ramblings running through my head today so it is going to be bullets style! :)

  • I am so ready for winter and cold weather to be over. Evan is still on antibiotics for his ear infection. He also has a virus and has little red dots all over his back. He got those last time he had an ear infection too. Turns out, I have a virus too. :( I went to the doctor this morning to get my cast off (FINALLY!) and my doctor said that I don't have strep, just a virus, and now my ear is hurting too. Evan and I are two peas in a pod! Hopefully we will both be feeling good soon! Back to the cast...I am SO glad it is off! I am not sure if you've ever had a cast before, but I hadn't, and when they took off the cast with the razor thingy, it tickled so bad and I could not stop laughing! So, I am in a walking boot (again) for two weeks to give it a little more time to heal. The good news is that I can finally take a real shower! I am SO happy about this! :)

  • Our living room is starting to look like a toy store. Seriously! There are two baskets full of toys, a car walker, two musical tables, an exersaucer, a learning farm, and a walker cozy coupe car! Since I am watching Sophie next year and possible her older brother Miles, I am trying to talk Mike into turning our guest room into a playroom. I doubt it will happen, but I'm hoping. I think it would be so much better for me to have all of the toys out of the living room. I also have visions of a chalkboard section and cute little art on the wall. We'll see how that turns out though...

  • Lots of family and friends need some prayers, so I am going to write it all down here so I don't forget. My Aunt Barb is such a fighter and she is getting stronger each day and I pray that the cancer continues to go away. My sister's dog, Koby, has a thyroid problem and is gaining weight and didn't eat for 3-4 days. Hoping he is feeling better so my sister feels better! Praying for my friends Edie and Erin who are both battling breast cancer and have both finished their last round of chemo. Prayers for my sister in law Amanda that her back feels better because now Dan tore his ACL (again) and will be down for the count for awhile. Praying for other family members to open up to family more. Also praying for Mike's grandpa to feel better soon. He's is in congestive heart failure and retaining water....also praying for Mike's mom who is with him. She is not getting a lot of sleep and is trying to take care of her mom and her dad and all of the stress and responsibility that goes along with that.

  • Wondering what goes through people's minds when they have a secret....Do they just not like telling the other person/family members or do they like holding that above other people? Sometimes it seems people try to keep the secret (even though they clearly aren't) based on emails or facebook status's, but I wonder why? Who are they trying to kid? I am a pretty upfront person and sometimes it can make others uncomfortable when I am that way because I am pretty animated and have lots of emotion when I talk to someone about an important topic. Anyway, not really sure where I'm going with this thought, but just wanted to get it down...hopefully people realize secrets are no fun :)

  • Seriously, I am so excited for this week's tv lineup! Bachelor (I know...I know!) I am loving Ali right now and can't stand V. Hope Jake makes some good choices this week. Then on Tuesday...the day I've been waiting for...LOST starts again! I can't wait! (I will be taping Biggest Loser and American Idol). Then, Grey's Anatomy is back this week. :) If you've stuck with me throughout this random thoughts post, congrats!!! :)

  • Happy February everyone! Tomorrow is Groundhog's Day!!! (Hoping that Spring will be here soon!)

I read every word. :) Yeah for the cast! I hear you on the toy store. We are moving a lot to our basement, but I feel bad going down there when it's bright and sunny. I am so excited for spring. I heard today that daylight savings time is only six weeks away and that's awesome to me because it means Charlie's 5:30 am wakeup call will then be 6:30!!! Ha, wishful thinking. :)

I love the Bachelor too! I just keep hoping he'll either send Vianna home or there will be some sort of mutiny with the other girls :)
