1st time in 7 years...

This time of year is usually spent getting my classroom ready, organizing the new school supplies, and attending teacher meetings, but instead of doing that, I get to spend my days with the most amazing baby ever! I do not miss getting my classroom ready, going through boxes of stuff, learning new curriculum, or sitting in meetings. I love that I get to stay home, get spit up on, change diapers, and play with my son. It is the best "job" in the world and I wouldn't change it for anything!

Glad all is going well at the Laughlin household! Are you taking more than a year off from school?? Are you officially becoming a SAHM?? Little Evan is SO handsome!

I'm so glad you get to stay home!!! You will love it! Although we have our good days and bad days and LOTS of drama - I am so thankful that I get to be home with the girls!!

I know how you feel! I was a teacher too, and then decided to stay home full-time with my son after a year's leave of absence. That first fall of school starting felt really strange that I wasn't a part of it, but ever since then?? I haven't looked back!! And I still kind of gag when I see school supplies out in Target in July, and get the Trend teacher catalog in the mail when it's 90 degrees outside!

Your son's adorable!!

We will miss you in the meetings and the learning of new curriculum! Much better that you deal with the spit-ups, poopie diapers, and wonderful cooing. I will stay back and deal with the cool tools, think spots, and sometime-terrific thinkers. :)

Oops! I double-clicked once too often. Maybe we'll just say I added emphasis and leave it at that!
